Live for Something
Bigger Than You!
Join Me In Ending Sex Trafficking
“If there was not a demand for sex, then no human would be sold for sex.”
Did you know that more than 300,000 young people in the U.S. are considered “at risk” of sexual exploitation?
For the last decade and a half, I have been on a mission to educate and spread awareness around sex trafficking, and to expose those who support it. If there was not a demand for sex, then no human would be sold for sex!
You may not realize that sex trafficking is more common—more a part of our everyday lives—than you might think. But it’s time to take action. We must come together and take ownership of how we unintentionally support sex trafficking through our silence, our unawareness, our endorsement of media outlets, and more.
Join me in this mission by doing simple things like opening conversations with your children from a young age, learning to identify grooming before it starts, signing petitions, and knowing which companies to not support.
To live your best life, you have to live for something bigger than yourself.
Let’s work together to end sex trafficking.

The National Center of Sexual Exploitation (NCOSE) is constantly working to make the world safer for our children. There are many simple ways you can get involved too! Whether it’s learning how to talk to your kids about online safety, signing petitions, or knowing which corporations don’t deserve your business, change starts with each and every one of us. The Dirty Dozen List
“Since 2013, the National Center of Sexual Exploitation (NCOSE) has published an annual Dirty Dozen List to name the mainstream players that perpetuate sexual exploitation, whether that be through pornography, prostitution, sexual objectification, sexual violence, and/or sex trafficking. The Dirty Dozen List is an activism tool that gives back power to individuals who want a voice in the culture. People can participate by taking easy online actions, from sending emails to sharing social media messages. In today’s world, corporations drive our culture. When a company makes a positive change to stop promoting sexploitation, it has a ripple effect that influences countless lives.” –NCOSE

My Background
I received my M.A. from Grand Valley University in Criminal Justice, and for more than a decade, I’ve been immersed in the criminal justice and anti-trafficking world. The more I see, the more sure I am that my calling is to raise awareness and help end the atrocities associated with sex trafficking.
I currently reside on the board for The National Center on Sexual Exploitation (NCOSE)—the leading non-profit organization exposing the links between all forms of sexual abuse and exploitation.
In addition, I am an Ambassador with The Selah Way Foundation—a global network that provides anti-sex trafficking resources for healthcare professionals, law enforcement, state attorneys, judiciaries, and service providers. With The Selah Way Foundation, I help train workers on the front lines to save victims of sex trafficking.
In both the non-profit and the business world, I’ve done extensive work training law enforcement, working with sex trafficking victims themselves, writing articles and books to raise awareness, and founding or serving on numerous anti-trafficking groups:
Co-Founded TYLA (Turn Your Life Around), a prostitution diversion program identifying victims of sexual exploitation and human trafficking
Founded and facilitated the Selah Freedom Sex Trade support group
Certified with the Florida Crime Prevention Training Institute for Human Trafficking
Served on the leadership team of the Circuit 12 Coalition Against Human Trafficking
Co-authored the article Explaining the Fear of Crime Among College Women, published in the Southwest Journal of Criminal Justice
Co-Authored a chapter in the book Human Trafficking, A Systemwide Public Safety and Community Approach
Helped raise over $10 million dollars to stop human trafficking globally
Important Feedback -
“Kindsey Pentecost is passionate about ending sex trafficking. She believes it will take an army, and leads collaboration between law enforcement, state attorney offices, and nonprofits. She is able to train and speak to very diverse audiences from lawyers, to police, to everyday moms whose kids would be prime targets.”
— Craig Schaeffer, Chief Assistant Sarasota County
“Kindsey presents this extremely sensitive topic in exactly the way I needed to hear it as a mom of four. She doesn’t sugarcoat anything, but I also never once felt she was trying to scare me or condemn me for any mistakes I may have made. Kindsey empowered me to be a better parent and a better human involved in the fight for change.”
— Claire Flores, Mom of 4
“Almost a decade ago Kindsey Pentecost founded one of the pillars of Selah Freedom, one of the first prostitution diversion programs in the country. Her passion and strategy for helping sex trafficking survivors and the exploited is stellar! I’m thrilled that she is an Ambassador of The Selah Way Foundation.”
— Elizabeth Fisher CEO, CO-Founder of Selah Way Foundation
